Natalie joined the financial services profession over 10 years ago. She originally trained as an accountant with Higgins Insurance and Investments and obtained a CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting. During her time with Higgins, Natalie assisted the Finance Director and was responsible for the day to day finances of both the general insurance and financial services divisions.
In 2007 she left Belfast to join an award winning advertising agency in Manchester; during her time with BJL she developed her business experience and was responsible for reporting to the directors on all aspects of finance and assisting with I.T. and training. Natalie found this role both challenging and interesting and felt that her time outside N.I. gave her greater exposure to a more varied finance role and helped her to develop a wider skill set particularly in the area of client relationship management and understanding the needs of businesses across various industries.
Natalie then returned to N.I. in 2009 to take up the role of Financial Controller with a Wealth Advisory firm. During her time with this firm she gained valuable insight into the challenges of running an SME and the particular issues which affect owner managed businesses.
Natalie joined SSAS Solutions in 2013 as a Consultant and has responsibility for managing client relationships and client service delivery. During her time with the firm she has gained valuable technical knowledge around the operation and HMRC compliance requirements for Small Self-Administered schemes. In addition her experience and the skills she obtained as a Financial Controller have enabled her to understand the many challenges faced by those who own and manage their own business and to dovetail this experience in with consultancy advice around the many uses of small self-administered pension schemes for SME’s.
